HISTORY

The Rusty Compass is a modern Scotch cocktail created by Meaghan Dorman in New York around 2010. It takes the Rusty Nail’s Scotch-and-Drambuie foundation and adds Cherry Heering, borrowing the cherry-and-smoke pairing of the Blood and Sand. Peated whisky keeps the drink savoury rather than sweet.
