HISTORY

The Scorpion is Trader Vic’s rum-and-cognac tropical punch, recorded in his 1947 Bartender’s Guide and later served in the large communal Scorpion Bowl. White rum, cognac, orange, lemon and orgeat create a smooth, almond-scented drink. Its exact inspiration is disputed, but Trader Vic did most to make it famous.
